Wish List and Donations

We are grateful for your generous donations!  This wish list changes depending on stock available and client needs. If you are not sure whether we are in need of particular items, please contact us.
All donations are tax deductible as permitted by law. Open Hands Food Pantry has been designated as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Documentation verifying this status is available upon request.

/business donations and food drives are always welcome! Contact us by email for information: or by phone.

We gladly accept donations of food and toiletries, as well as cash/check donations.

Please be aware that we can do more with a monetary donation than with some food donations, but if you are planning a food drive, THANK YOU for thinking of Open Hands, and please go HERE for instructions.

Donations of food and toiletries

Contrary to a recent newspaper article, Open Hands is NOT in "desperate need" of food at this time, but we always welcome donations.

Due to the ever-increasing and fluctuating cost of food, Open Hands is sometimes unable to purchase certain food items in necessary quantities, and it is difficult for us to keep up with toiletries to distribute. Please consider donating food and/or toiletry items to Open Hands.

We are able to accept donations during our
hours of operation. Small amounts of food can be accepted by simply bringing it to Open Hands during those hours.
If you have larger amounts of food or toiletries to deliver, or if you are unable to bring the items during our hours of operation, you must contact us before you plan to bring food to the food pantry, so we can better plan for your donation. Due to our limited staffing, you must set an appointment before you drop off larger amounts of food. That can be done by phone or by email. We can not accept large amounts of food or toiletries without first making an appointment. No "walk-ins", please.

If you are able to plan a food drive to benefit Open Hands, we would be happy to work with you in coordinating the drive. Contact us if you are planning a food drive, and please keep in mind the guidelines (above) for delivery of the food. Please think of us when making food and other contributions or for a food drive y
ou may be planning. Thank you!
